NEBRASKA -- The Nebraska Farm Bureau is sharing its thoughts on the 2021 harvest season.

Nebraska Farm Bureau president Mark McHargue said it's hard to compare this year to others, as the state has seen many different conditions.

In Merrick County where he farms, the cold has paused their work.

He also explained the autumn rain didn't help yield and more so made conditions muddy and difficult for harvest.

While the wind in other conditions hits crops, places like Grand Island have gotten luckier, he said.

McHargue predicts harvest will end in a week or two.
