Bank Argument Sparks Police Response in Downtown North Platte
NORTH PLATTE - The North Platte Police Department responded to a disturbance at a bank Thursday morning, but thankfully it turned out to be a false alarm.
Officials say that officers responded to the area of 2nd and Dewey around 11 a.m for reports of a disturbance with a gun involved.
Several witnesses called the police because of the argument, and the witnesses saw one of the occupants with a handgun.
The responding officers detained all of the occupants for officer safety.
Police say that a vehicle with four adults was traveling through the area from Idaho and stopped in North Platte because of an argument.
The officers were able to locate the handgun.
It was determined that there was no violation of the law and the occupants were released.
