NORTH PLATTE - Police responded to an auto incident at the intersection of Buffalo Bill Ave. and Rodeo Road Ave at 8:35 p.m.

According to Sgt. Dale Matuszczak of the North Platte Police Department, a woman was arrested for a DUI following the crash.

The incident occurred when a white sedan pulled in front of a black vehicle heading west.

An elementary school aged boy was taken by ambulance to Great Plains Health and was treated for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash caused damage to the traffic lights. Stop signs will be placed at the intersection temporarily until they can be fixed.
